Our friends at Hydra Hydraulics reached out and said, "Hey we need some warm jackets that will hold up in the snows of Adelonte. You think you can put something together for us?"
The challenge was complicated: Adelonte is known for harsh winters, but as we all know, their population frowns on "workwear." Hydra Hydraulics wasn't looking to stand out, they were looking to fit in. We knew that knitwear in the city's traditional colors was the only way to move forward.
Each of these pieces was custom-designed for the wearer, and painstakingly crafted using unnatural fibers to ensure safety and durability. They were finished in record time due to the mission shuttle's time crunch.
Duplicates of these jackets are not possible, as there was no pattern used in their creation. Due to the time crunch of the project itself, documenting the process of creating them was also impossible.
Two of the jackets have since been raffled off for a charitable cause, and one remains with the original wearer at their now-permanent home on Adelonte.
This same knit material comes up time and time again in Thick Bro Handmade apparel. It's bold, cozy, and best of all it's Thick, Bro.
When our friend Kr1mps asked us to create the album art for their first album, we took a journalistic approach. We went down to the hospital and waited for the right case to come in. It took a few hours, but finally we heard the call over the radio: "White adult male half-elf, six eight, major trauma, cause unknown, unresponsive." This was our guy.
We caught this photo during the elf's intake. We heard rumor that he was ancient, and was decaying due to devastation and heartbreak. We never got the chance to talk to him, get his side of the story, or even know his name. No family showed up to claim his body. Too elvish for the religious cemetery, too human for the elvish ones, he ended up in a dump somewhere.
He's memorialized forever, if only in this way, as a Thick Bro.
